Red Bay Cafes
I deliberately created Red Bay’s design language to be rooted in sustainability, not as a buzzword but as a practice. “Our strength is transforming existing places. I love to adapt what’s already there — reusing the infrastructure, but changing the look and feel to fit our brand. Often rotate design elements between cafés, reusing furniture or elements, sourcing from used and vintage shops. But I make sure we are investing in high quality Scandinavian lighting from mid-century masters like Poul Henningsen and Secto Design. The result are spaces that feel curated and lived-in, like a home not a chain. The warmth of the oak wood slats — inspired by the Scandinavian 1970s — harmonizes with California’s easygoing spirit. It’s a design approach that saves money, avoids waste, and radiates comfort.
I have been leading the interior design and build-outs for all Red Bay Coffee cafés and retail environments, ensuring cohesive visual storytelling and expanding brand presence across multiple retail locations with a unique and modern interior brand story.
